Change and Reform bloc launches “Al-Ibra' Al Mustahil” (Impossible Exoneration)

               
During the book launching ceremony of the Change and Reform bloc’s “Al-Ibra' Al Mustahil” MP Michel Aoun said that while all leaders, judges and politicians speak of corruption, none have dared fight it, warning that the Lebanese state is heading towards havoc and anarchy.

"People say all politicians are liars. The corrupt turned this into a general truth to guarantee their continuity. We have certified liars and we have civil society organizations that should practice accountability," Aoun said.

"We proved today that there are some good people working for public good; others should follow in their footsteps," he continued.

For his part, MP Ibrahim Kanaan said that there is a real chance for change, noting that the book details financial scandals over decades.         

Kanaan revealed that the book drafts details on $170 billion spent without duly accounts.                      

“The protective shield guarding the people from corruption has long been violated; we fulfilled our duty on behalf of the Lebanese who entrusted us with their interest,” Kanaan said.
