Connelly lauds ISF’s full alertness

U.S. ambassador to Lebanon Mora Connelly lauded the full alertness of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) reflected by the prosecution and arrest of the perpetrators of the seven Estonians’ abduction. She also paid tribute to their excellent work in arresting members of car-theft gangs.

Connelly visited the head of the ISF Major General Ashraf Rifi in his office at the general headquarters’ barrack, where she conveyed her condolences for Sergeant Elias Nasrallah who died from the wounds he sustained when his patrol came under fire in an ambush by members of the gang that had kidnapped the seven Estonians who were held captive for nearly four months.

“I strongly condemn this terrorist act”, she said.
