Future bloc: All parties realize danger of Orthodox Gathering Law

Following its weekly meeting, the Future bloc issued a statement on Tuesday and said that all parties are now aware of the perils presented by the Orthodox Gathering proposal, stressing that the parliamentary elections must be held on their due time. They also held the cabinet accountable for the electoral controversy.

The bloc then denounced the Syrian regime's “attacks” on border towns in Akkar, urging President Michel Sleiman to execute UNSCR 1701 and deploy the Lebanese Army on all border regions with the aid of the UNIFIL.
