Official delegation in Lebanon to support Jeita Grotto

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman visited Jeita Grotto on Thursday afternoon, in the presence of PM Najib Mikati, in light of a national campaign to elect Jeita Grotto as one of the world’s seven wonders.

Sleiman had met with former PM Fouad Siniora in Baabda Palace where they both discussed the latest updates on the domestic political scene.

The president also met with minister Jack Goodfrin, head of the Charles De Gaulle institution, its director general and the chairman of the Diplomatic and International Relations Academy Samir Daher, in the presence of the French ambassador to Lebanon Denis Pietton.

The meeting touched on the activities of the institution, especially in regards to strengthening the relations between Lebanon and France as late president Charles de Gaulle wanted.
