Ambassador Pietton: Lebanon must fulfill its international commitments

French ambassador Denis Pietton stressed the need to move forward in the Lebanese-Syrian maritime border demarcation, adding that France is committed to the independence and sovereignty of the Lebanese territories, land and sea.

Following his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour said it is mandatory that Lebanon fulfills its international commitments towards the STL, adding “The STL funding issue is of the utmost importance”.

Pietton praised Lebanon’s hospitality to fleeing Syrian citizens and condemned Ethiopia’s “insufficient” treatment of the families of the plane crash’s victims.
