PM Mikati following Cabinet session: No one is allowed to undermine Lebanon's credibility

The Cabinet asserted on Tuesday that Lebanon is committed to distancing itself from the events taking place in the region, particularly Syria, in order to preserve Lebanon's stability and unity.

In his speech during the session, PM Najib Mikati said that no matter the dangers surrounding Lebanon, no one is allowed to express their personal opinion in a manner that would undermine the Lebanese government’s credibility.

PM Mikati called on the cabinet to convene next Thursday, March 21 to discuss the ranks and salaries series.

On another note, the cabinet approved the rehabilitation of the Deir Amar power plant.

For his part, Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi declared that he referred the 2013 draft budget to the Prime Ministry.
