No candidature submissions for the second day

For the second consecutive day after opening its doors to receive candidatures for the upcoming parliamentary elections, the Ministry of Interior hasn’t received any application yet.

In this context, sources told LBCI that there aren’t any applications so far since employees of the Finance Ministry are holding a strike alongside the Union Coordinating Committee and also since political blocs want to reiterate their rejection to the 1960’s electoral law.

The Ministry of Interior opened its doors on Monday the 11th of March to receive candidatures for the upcoming elections.
