Abou Faour: All citizens should abide by the law

Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour said on Wednesday that he does not have any power to take a decision in the file of the 6-year-old baby Mo’men Khaled al-Mohammad who died in a hospital at the North adding that a number of persons were arrested upon the call of the General Prosecutor.

Following a meeting with the baby's parents and administration members from the Dar Al Shifaa Hospital, Minister Abou Faour called on hospitals and workers to be aware of such incidents adding that this occurrence should not pass without a punishment.

Abou Faour stressed that all citizens should abide by the law and political mediation should not be made.

Six year-old Momen Khaled Al Mohammad died on Tuesday the 19th of February from Meningitis after several Tripoli and northern hospitals refused to treat him because his family could not afford the cost of the care.
