Israeli army: About 60 rockets fired from Lebanon into Israel

The Israeli military said around 60 rockets were fired into Israeli territory from Lebanon on Friday, as sirens sounded across northern Israel.

“A barrage of approximately 60 rockets was fired at 1:02 p.m. (1002 GMT),” a military spokeswoman told AFP.

The rocket fire followed Israeli military strikes overnight, which targeted dozens of rocket launchers that were reportedly ready for use against Israel.
