Defense Minister: The LAF will uphold security in the wake of attacks against Sunni clerics

Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn followed up on the attack that targeted the 4 Sunni clerics: Mazen Hariri, Ahmad Fakhran, Ibrahim Abdul Latif and Omar Imani. In this context Ghosn held a string of contacts in order to keep pace with the measures undertaken by the Lebanese Army, which aim at arresting all perpetrators and accomplices in the incidents.

In this context, Ghosn said that the country is facing attempts to destabilize its security and stressed that the Army as well as numerous political leaderships are doing their utmost in order to spare the country dire repercussions.

In addition, the Defense Minister pointed out that the LAF will uphold security and stability in Lebanon, and ‘will strike with an iron fist’ everyone who foments strife.
