Harb: We condemn cabinet and judiciary’s silence

MP Boutros Harb stressed on Tuesday that March 14 MPs strongly condemn the attacks against the Dar al-Fatwa clerics, expressing concern over the fact that political disputes concerning the electoral law will lead to the annulment of the elections.

Following the meeting of independent March 14 MPs at his residence, Harb held the government responsible for the unrest, denouncing the cabinet and judiciary’s silence over the spread of arms and provocative stances.

On the other hand, Harb stressed that the March 8 camp is seeking to cancel the elections and lead the country into void, to allow its allies, in reference to Syria and Iran, to eliminate Lebanon’s democratic system.

On another note, Harb urged the government to provide the Syrian refugees with necessary assistance, to control the displacement movement and to immediately establish an emergency unit to follow up on this case, rejecting the Syrian regime's attack targeting the Lebanese territory.

Accordingly, March 14 MPs praised the stance launched by President Michel Sleiman, hoping that Foreign Minister Mansour will comply with Sleiman’s request and file a complaint against Syria.
