Lebanese Army Command: Army deployed nationwide, prioritizing national duties and unity amid challenges

The Lebanese Army Command stated, "The army is deployed across the entire country, including the southern border, and continues to fulfill its duties, offering sacrifices and remaining ready to defend the land with available resources.'' 

The army added, ''This aligns with the political authority's decisions and directives, aimed at protecting Lebanon and the military institution while also adhering to UN Resolution 1701 in close coordination with UNIFIL."

The command criticized certain media outlets for launching campaigns unfairly attacking the military institution and its leadership for political gain.

The army stressed that it would not engage in debates or rivalries and would not be involved in any specific political issues or deadlines.

The Army Command emphasized that its priority is to protect the institution, maintain its cohesion, resist aggression, support citizens, address the displacement crisis, and continue rescue operations in coordination with relevant agencies while ensuring civil peace and internal stability.

The statement added: "Experience has shown that the army is the backbone of Lebanon and the guarantee for all Lebanese, highlighting the importance of rallying around it. We are hopeful that international efforts to stop the Israeli aggression will succeed as soon as possible."

It continued: "The army remains strong, driven by the determination, faith, and will of its soldiers, as well as the unity of the Lebanese people around its role. The key task is to preserve national unity to safeguard Lebanon, which will overcome this ordeal just as it has triumphed over past crises and challenges."
