Agricultural Center urges citizens to remain vigilant over locust swarm

The Agricultural Center in the region of Amioun-Koura urged on Thursday the residents of North Lebanon to notify the center of the presence of locusts in the area in order to take the necessary procedures in this regard.

After invading Egypt and Israel, locusts arrived to Lebanon, and were spotted in Beirut, Zouk, Dbayeh, Beit al-Chaar and Tripoli, among other areas.

The Ministry of Agriculture have assured that there is no need to panic, noting that the "phenomena is under control".
