MP Dib: March8 forces prefer a one sided cabinet

Change and Reform Bloc MP Hekmat Dib said on Monday that forming the electoral supervisory committee on the basis of the 1960’s law "can happen only once" and mentioned that this is upon a decision issued by a senior advisory body.

MP Dib told LBCI during Nharkom Said that Lebanese President Michel Sleiman is the "only one who wants to hold the elections on the basis of the 60’s law seemingly since there is consensus in regards to this law in a sense that it does not represent the ambitions of the Lebanese people."

Dib added that March8 forces presented an electoral law that ensures the representation of all sects, in reference to the Orthodox Gathering draft law.

As for the cabinet, MP Dib said that following its resignation, the parliament would be holding extraordinary sessions and added that March8 forces prefer a "one sided" cabinet capable of maintaining the security situation in the country.
