Russian diplomat says Lebanese cabinet crisis should be solved "internally"

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Tuesday that the issue of forming a new cabinet should be solved internally among Lebanon's political factions without the need to resort to foreign intervention, adding that Moscow is supporting the Lebanese authorities in facing internal challenges.

The Russian official added that the situation is deteriorating due to internal political disputes such as setting a date for the upcoming parliamentary elections among other pending issues.
