President Sleiman schedules binding parliamentary consultations

President of the Republic Michel Sleiman announced on Thursday that the binding parliamentary consultations to designate a new Prime Minister shall take place on forthcoming April 5 and 6 at Baabda palace.                      

The President is scheduled to respectively meet on Friday, April 5, with Speaker Nabih Berri, outgoing Prime Minister  Najib Mikati, MP Michel Aoun, former Prime Ministers Fouad Siniora and Saad Hariri, and Deputy Speaker Farid Makkari.                                 

He will also meet with the blocs of Development and Liberation, Future, Free Patriotic Movement, Loyalty to the Resistance, National Struggle Front and the Democratic Gathering, as well as Michel Murr and Nayla Tueini.                      

On Saturday, Sleiman will meet with the blocs of Zahle MPs, the Lebanese Forces, Kataeb MPs, Mount Unity, Free United Lebanon, Free Decision, Armenian Agreement, Solidarity, Baath, Syrian Social Nationalist Party, Armenian Deputies, Jamaa Islamiya, and independent MPs.
