MP Mousawi: Working against the Resistance is an attempt to violate national unity

Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Nawaf Mousawi said that discussions pertaining to a non-political government are unrealistic and stand afar from the political situation and the constitutional codes in the country.

"Calls for such a government are attempts to violate the constitution and the Taif accord," he said.

Mousawi said on Monday that it is important that the new cabinet hold the elections on their constitutional due date, urding factions to agree upon an electoral law that ensures fair representation and secures national unity.

Mousawi added that the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc agreed on an electoral law that is based on the proportional law, with Lebanon as one electoral district, adding that “working against the Resistance is in fact working against national unity and an attempt at transforming the political system from a democratic system into one of dominance”.
