MP Kanaan: Those boycotting parliamentary sessions are seeking void

Following the Change and Reform Bloc’s weekly meeting, MP Ibrahim Kanaan said that forming a new cabinet should be based on a clear vision of the current situation and respect to all political parties.            

As for the issue of the elections, MP Kanaan said that “whomever considers himself keen on Lebanon's democracy should head to the parliament in order to agree upon an electoral law” adding that those boycotting parliamentary sessions are seeking political void.                      

In this context, MP Kanaan added that statements pertaining to holding the upcoming parliamentary elections without heading to the parliament are unreliable.              

“How can we adhere to the state without resorting to its parliament?”          

MP Kanaan called for referring to the Orthodox Gathering’s electoral law to the General Authority since it was approved by the joint parliamentary committees.
