President Sleiman meets with LAF Commander Kahwagi, tackles security situation

President Michel Sleiman met on Saturday with Lebanese Army Commander Jean Kahwagi at the Presidential Palace in Baabda.

The security situation was tackled, with the focus being on measures taken to control the situation North of Lebanon, mainly at the Lebanese Syrian border in order to safeguard the security of Lebanese people in these areas.

On another note, President Sleiman also met with a delegation from the Civil Campaign for Electoral Reform which briefed him on the activity carried out by the movement in a bid to achieve a modern electoral law and to hold the upcoming parliamentary elections on their due time.
