Speaker Nabih Berri meets US and Turkish ambassadors

Speaker Nabih Berri met on Tuesday in Ain el Tineh with US ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly, in the presence of his adviser Ali Hamdan.

He also met with Turkish ambassador to Lebanon Inan Auzildise, whereby they tackled the case of the Lebanese hostages in Syria's Aazaz and the kidnapping of Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Aleppo Youhanna Ibrahim and Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo and Iskanderun Boulos al-Yaziji in Syria on Monday.

Speaker Berri urged the Turkish envoy to exert further efforts to release the Lebanese pilgrims.

Eleven Lebanese pilgrims were kidnapped on their way back from Iran by insurgents hoping to use them for a prisoner swap on the 22nd of May. Only two have so far been released.
