Jumblatt: The Syrian people do not need Jihadists from Hezbollah or any other group

The head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt said on Wednesday that the escalating political incidents highlight the need to adopt the policy of dissociation that was set forth by the Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, stressing that Mikati will always represent the country's national interest.

In this context, Jumblatt called on Hezbollah, "which has liberated Southern Lebanon from the Israeli occupation", to steer clear of the Syrian crisis since the involvement of Hezbollah in the Syrian crisis, "by backing a regime that has committed all kinds of massacres", will tarnish the party’s image.

“The Syrian people do not need jihadists from Lebanon or outside,” Jumblatt added.
