Sehnaoui launches free internet service in Mufti Hassan Khaled Public Garden

Caretaker Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui launched on Thursday a free internet service in the Mufti Hassan Khaled Public Garden in Tallat al-Khayyat.

The service was launched upon an initiative from the Ministry of Telecommunications and the funding of the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL), in the presence of ABL representative, Secretary General Dr. Makram Sader, representative of the Mufti of the Republic Mohammad Rashid Qabbani, Public Relations Manager Sheikh Shadi al-Masri, the minister’s advisers and a number of official figures.

During the ceremony, Sehnaui said that the public gardens plan is a civilizational project aiming at introducing the values of nature to the young generation, “especially that the youth of today are mostly interested in technology and they spend hours working on their computers indoors.”

The minister stressed that he is deploying hard efforts in order to provide all the public gardens in Lebanon with free internet service.
