President Aoun: Steadily advancing toward implementing pledges of oath speech and ministerial statement

President Joseph Aoun affirmed that establishing the monopoly of arms by the state does not undermine Lebanon’s rights or sovereignty.

He told Al-Hadath TV: “Implementing the American plan requires the approval of Syria and Israel with American and French guarantees.”

He added: “We are steadily moving forward to implement the pledges made in the presidential oath and the ministerial statement.”

He explained that Thursday’s government session will continue to make the expected decisions regarding the monopoly of arms.

He stressed that the monopoly of arms will be achieved despite difficulties and obstacles, and that they are awaiting the Lebanese army’s plan to restrict weapons for discussion and approval.
