George Chahwan launches initiative to save Sagesse club

Former Sagesse club President George Chahwan launched an initiative to save the team whereby a committee is to be formed to set a plan for finding the correct means for the resignations and the halting of all lawsuits in the club.

Calling for the protection of the sports club, Chahwan expressed his disappointment of the current state, pointing out that everyone has good intentions for resolving the issues at hand.

On a further note, Chahwan stressed that a golden opportunity now stands, noting that the Sagesse team can win both the Lebanese and Asian Championships despite pending issues, and political disputes.

As for the resigned Sagesse team President Elie Mchantaf, he hoped Chahwan's initiative would pull through, insisting he solely belongs to the Sagesse team and in no way sides with any political team whatsoever.

Machantaf resigned as team leader of the Sagesse club on Friday April 26th, citing political problems as the main instigator behind his move.
