Support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, state authority underlined by Saudi approach, US source says

A U.S. source told LBCI that reports of Saudi Arabia dealing with Lebanon on a state-to-state basis reflect the kingdom’s commitment to supporting President Joseph Aoun and the Lebanese state.

The source emphasized that weapons should remain exclusively under state control, with the ultimate goal of establishing a secure and sovereign Lebanon.
