Truck drivers block Dahr el-Baydar highway over vehicle detentions

Several truck drivers blocked the Dahr el-Baydar highway in both directions on Monday to protest the “detention of several of their trucks,” demanding their release and a swift resolution to the issue.

The road closure caused heavy traffic congestion and disrupted movement.

Security forces were deployed to the scene and are working to reopen the highway to traffic.
