A tripartite meeting is currently underway in Ras al-Naqqoura between top officials in the Lebanese and Israeli Armed Forces under the auspices of the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Discussions are set to tackle the violations of the blue line and the withdrawal of the Israeli Army from Ghajar village.

This as, the Israeli army intensified its patrols along the border with Lebanon.

Armored military vehicles were seen on the borderline as Israeli drones flew over the bordering regions.

In this context, the United nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) bolstered its patrols at the blue line while the Lebanese Armed Forces raised its level of alertness and conducted patrols with the UNIFIL.

Israeli warplanes also breached the Lebanese airspace and flew over the Lebanese territories.

Meanwhile, Israeli government and security forces granted the Israeli Armed Forces deployed along the Northern border with Syria and Lebanon the "right to shoot at any person, threat or impeachment without prior referral to any Israeli official."

Israeli Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon asserted that his country "is not interfering" in the Syrian crisis, noting however that Israel will not allow the smuggling of advanced weapons to Hezbollah.

This report will shed light on the security measures adopted by Israel in regards to the crisis taking place in neighboring Syria.
