President Aoun: Lebanon–Syria relations are good, and a visit to Damascus will follow a border agreement

President Joseph Aoun affirmed that Lebanon’s relationship with Syria is good, announcing that he will visit Damascus once an agreement is finalized on the Lebanese-Syrian border or any other agreement between the two countries.

He explained in an interview with Syria TV that the Lebanese judiciary has presented a draft proposal regarding Syrian detainees, and the Syrian side has submitted its comments on it.

He added that Lebanon cannot hand over Syrian nationals accused of fighting the Lebanese Army.
