MP Jumblatt returns from Jeddah after meeting with Hariri

National Struggle Front leader Walid Jumblatt returned on Sunday to Beirut following his visit to Saudi Arabia whereby he met, accompanied with his son Taymour and Caretaker Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour, with former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Saudi high-ranking officials.

In the details, Hariri held a meeting with Jumblatt on Saturday with talks featuring high on the efforts exerted by Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam in a bid to form a new government, noting that both officials also tackled the suggested electoral laws as the parliamentary elections are drawing nearer.
In this context, the former PM Hariri and MP Jumblatt discussed the latest developments in Syria, stressing the need to thwart all attempts to drag Lebanon into the Syrian conflict since "they compromise coexistence and the interests of the Lebanese people on the political, economic, social and security levels".
