Geagea calls on Free Patriotic Movement to participate in General Authority session

Lebanese Forces Chief Samir Geagea said on Saturday that the only way to establish real democracy is by referring to the Parliament’s General Authority in order to vote for one of the electoral draft, among them the hybrid electoral draft that the Lebanese Forces presented a couple of days ago.

“Those who have remarks and other files to discuss, let them present them during the General Authority session,” Geagea said.

Geagea called on the Free Patriotic Movement to attend the General Authority session or else they will leading the country towards either the 1960’s electoral law or towards extending the parliament’s mandate.

“A legal and constitutional solution is our only way out of this issue, or else we’ll be going back to the 1960’s law,” Geagea concluded.
