Speaker Berri holds further contacts over electoral file
       
Speaker Nabih Berri held on Wednesday further contacts in regards to the electoral file as the Lebanese deputies voiced Berri’s concerns over the security situation in the country.        

In this regard, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Fayyad stressed that Lebanese parties’ stances “did not change”, and said: “We are inching closer to a new phase which may further aggravate the situation”.       

For his part, Change and Reform bloc MP Nabil Nkoula stressed that the bloc refuses to extend or to renew the parliament’s mandate, but is compelled however to submit candidacies based on the 1960 electoral law.
