Geagea expresses support to Hybrid law, calls on parties to put up with of their choices

Lebanese Forces Chief Samir Geagea said on Wednesday that the Lebanese people want an electoral law that garners the support of the majority and asked all parties to bear the responsibility of their choices.

Geagea added that "a General Authority session will not be held seemingly since Hezbollah is busy fighting alongside the Syrian regime".

Geagea pointed out that the Lebanese Forces would have participated in the General Authority session, but they agreed on the Hybrid law since it is better for the Christians.
In this regard, Geagea said that electing 64 Christian deputies at the parliament is a great achievement; however, the means of electing these deputies is sectarian and doesn't serve the country.

Geagea reiterated his rejection to the 1960 law and added that the hybrid draft is the best opportunity for Christians.
