Geagea calls on cabinet to discuss Hezbollah’s involvement in Syria’s al-Qusayr

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said on Saturday that he held a meeting with Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai in Bkerke whereby they discussed the electoral laws, and recalled that all Lebanese parties agreed on the third of April to suspend the Orthodox Gathering draft law and to find a consensual law based on the hybrid draft law, submitted by Speaker Nabih Berri.

In this regard, Geagea also tackled with Cardinal Rai  the attempts to revive the 1960 electoral law, noting that it is “the worst thing that could happen at the time being”, calling on the cabinet to discuss "Hezbollah’s involvement in Syria’s al-Qusayr" since "this situation will take a toll on Lebanon".

LF leader Geagea also said that he tackled with Cardinal Rai the incidents taking place in the city of Tripoli as the death toll has climbed up to 30, adding that "the Caretaker government did not even hold a meeting in order to put an end to Tripoli’s incidents".
