Lebanese PM marks Labor Day with pledge to improve living conditions

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam addressed workers across Lebanon on the occasion of Labor Day, acknowledging the hardships many face amid the country's ongoing economic and security crises.

In a post on X, Salam paid tribute to "every worker and employee who rises each morning despite anxiety and hardship," noting that they continue to work under conditions the country has not experienced before.

He said he is fully aware of the challenges confronting workers, including job losses, declining purchasing power, and the daily pressures that weigh on their livelihoods.

From his position of responsibility, Salam pledged that the government will continue efforts to improve living conditions, restore all occupied Lebanese territory, and advance reforms aimed at reviving the economy.

He added that these efforts aim to create new job opportunities, restore stability, and put the country on a path toward genuine recovery.
