PM-Designate Salam calls for a national unity government

A delegation from the Journalists Syndicate Council, under the chairmanship of Mohammad Baalbaki, quoted Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam as saying that he is adamant on the formation of a national unity government, noting that "Salam will exert all needed efforts in a bid to pull the country out of the current crisis".

In this regard, the head of the Journalists Syndicate, Baalbaki, quoted Salam as saying that "he will not anticipate things" when it comes to the formation of the new government.
