Nahas: A committee to track price changes

The Minister of Economy and Trade Nicolas Nahas revealed that the government will immediately form a committee to track all prices change in the market especially for food and beverages. The committee will meet on Monday to discuss the mechanisms to be adopted in its work to control prices.

Nahas said in a press conference at the Ministry of Economy on Friday that the committee will be in charge of controlling and monitoring price variations and to prepare suggestions to lower all prices.

Nahas hoped that this step will control the prices changes in order to reassure the citizens that the ministry is taking serious steps to prevent monopolies.
