All those of us who are animal lovers or share the house with a furry friend, know how difficult it is to prevent the total destruction of Christmas decorations and how tricky it is to keep the little ones entertained during the holiday season!

First thing first! Pets, especially cats, are attracted to the Christmas tree and nativity decoration but not in a nice way! Make no mistake; the naughty little fur balls will plot against the tree in a vicious attempt to murder it!

How to prevent cats from attacking the tree?

Let me assure you, this is almost mission impossible! Yet some measures can be taken to control the situation... most of the time

Make sure your tree has a solid base, as the cats might try to "find habitat" within the branches, it often ends up on the floor.
Make sure your precious or breakable ornaments are hanged on the upper part.
Do not be afraid to say NO to your cat. A little discipline is in order.
Try to keep your cat entertained throughout the festive season.

Dogs also act naughty sometimes especially when you are absent, but with proper training they usually comply and are less stubborn than cats. Here are some hilarious dog shaming incidents !

Since pets become part of one's heart and family, they get a big chunk of Christmas cheer too! Here are some nice gift ideas:

A very simple formula! Dogs love them, cats hate them.
