Collectors Pay Millions For Invisible Art

Artist Creates INVISIBLE ‘Art’ and Collectors are Paying Millions | artFido's Blog

Art enthusiasts have gathered in numbers to admire the work of a rising artist in the Schulberg art gallery - New York, but found themselves staring at empty walls!

27-year-old artist Lana Newstrom is the first artist to create invisible “art"; in other words...nothing.

CBC Radio traveled to her studio, reportedly as empty as her art show, to learn about this highly unusual artistic process.

Newstrom says she puts hours of work on each of her pieces and just because people can't see anything, doesn't mean it's not there.

She also believes that art is all about imagination and that people will just have to imagine the pieces in front of them.

Paul Rooney, Lana’s agent, believes she might be the greatest artist alive and says that collectors are already beginning to pay millions for her art.
