[PHOTOS] Disfigured Man Has New Face Grown On His Chest!

A Chinese man, who suffered severe burns to his face when he was electrocuted, has now a basketball sized 'head' growing from the left side of his chest.

Doctors are creating Yan Jianbin a new face after the technician was left severely disfigured having lost his nose and right eye.

Six months ago, doctors at the Shenyang Army General Hospital, in Liaoning Province, embarked on a detailed procedure to stretch the skin on the left side of his chest.

They aimed to create a head-shaped mound, by injecting saline water into his chest in order to expand the skin.

The skin has now expanded to the point where plastic surgeons can start the task of creating new facial features for the patient.

In the next stage, the doctors will attempt to reattach Yan's new face to his damaged skin.

"The whole process will take at least two years," according to surgeons.
