Wildlife photographer Bill Doherty, 61, captured spectacular photos of an osprey, or also known as fish-eating eagle, as it goes in for the kill in a daring river hunt, after spotting his prey.
The osprey made a splash as he made an impressive swoop down onto a river to catch the fish.
Bill, from Northumberland, was visiting the River Spey in the Scottish Cairngorms when he took the photos.
“It’s difficult to obtain good shots of ospreys, especially in flight and diving,” he said.
