Ban Ki-moon special envoy arrives in Tripoli

A special envoy for the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Tripoli on Saturday to help the National Transitional Council (NTC) establish a new democratic regime.

The aircraft named “Ian Martin” landed at a military airport in the capital as Ban said the international community was ready to assist in re-establishing security after the nearly seven-month uprising that ousted Muammar Gaddafi.
