Al-Zawahiri: Assad’s regime committed “heinous crimes”
Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri accused the Syrian regime of committing “heinous crimes”,calling on the Syrian people to continue protesting until the regime falls.

“The criminal, sectarian Baathist regime that has protected Israel’s borders for 44 years is now committing heinous crimes against the Syrian people”, al-Zawahiri said in an audio recording on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Al-Zawahiri added, addressing the Syrian people: “Keep fighting and resisting the corrupt violent rule. Sham’s tyrant started to lurch, so keep pressuring him until he collapses”.
