Mahmoud Zahar, member of Hamas political bureau said that no restrictions must be imposed on the Palestinians living in Lebanese refugee camps. “They should not be prevented from working”, he said.   

“Human Rights must be preserved, regardless of political, social or religious affiliations.”   

“We are keen on protecting Christians in Gaza”, Zahar said, adding, “We are committed to serving the Christian community in Gaza and Palestine, and to establishing a civil society in which Human Rights prevail”.
