REPORT: Nusra Front commander killed in clashes in Syria's Barouh highland
Hezbollah's television station, Al Manar, said on Monday that heavy clashes are being reported in Syria’s al-Barouh highland in Ras al Maara’s barren range.     
 
The channel noted that the clashes are pitting Hezbollah fighters and Syrian troops against Nusra Front militants and other factions.       
 
It added that Abu Shuwaikh, the Nusra military operations commander in Ras al Maara, was killed in the clashes along with another field commander.      
 
Recent clashes opposing Hezbollah and the Syrian army to Islamist militants have been taking place but an all-out military confrontation in the Qalamoun mountains is yet to be launched.
