IEA expects global carbon dioxide emissions to peak in 2025
The International Energy Agency predicted on Thursday that global emissions of greenhouse gases will reach its peak in 2025, mainly due to a "deep reorientation" of global energy markets since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Eight days before the opening of the International Climate Conference (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, the agency warned in its annual report for 2022 of “gaps” between rich and poor countries in investments in carbon-neutral energies, calling for a “great international effort” to fill the worrying gap.
