Hamas calls on the world to act immediately to stop Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip

Hamas has called upon the world to take "immediate action" to stop the intensified Israeli shelling on the besieged enclave that occurred on Friday evening.

In an official statement, the Palestinian movement stated, "We call on Arab and Islamic countries and the international community to shoulder the responsibility and take immediate action to halt the crimes and the series of massacres against our people." 

This plea comes as the conflict in Gaza continues to escalate, with mounting civilian casualties.
