Bessent: US to watch whether China steps up diplomacy with Iran

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Monday that Washington will closely monitor whether China intensifies its diplomatic efforts with Iran to encourage it to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

In an interview with Fox News, Bessent said he would urge China to join the United States in efforts to reopen the key waterway.
