Explosion heard over Jerusalem: AFP

An AFP journalist heard an explosion over Jerusalem on Monday, as Israel said it was working to intercept a new wave of Iranian missiles.

The Israeli army wrote on Telegram that it had "identified missiles launched from Iran" and was working to intercept the threat.

It urged the public to take shelter.
