[VIDEO] Industrial Engineer Quits His Job To Plant Forests

While several groups and organizations seek new methodologies or solutions for the pressing environmental problems and challenges the world has been facing, industrial engineer Shubhendu Sharma has found the perfect way to plant forests!

Sharma quit his job at Toyota to plant "mini-forests" using entirely native species which he claims are 30 times denser than a plantation, and grow 10 times faster than a naturally recurring forest would.

Sharma created a for-profit business “Afforrestt,” basing his activities on the reforestation techniques of Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, with an aim to grow mini-forests on unproductive lands at locations ranging from schools to police stations to residential buildings.
