REPORT: Israeli attention shifts toward Gaza, officials plan military attack on Hamas

As developments in Egypt continue to reel out, Israel once again shifts its attention towards the Gaza strip whereby officials are now calling for a renewed military attack against the narrow coastal enclave in a bid to totally eradicate the infrastructure of the Hamas Movement.

Although Israel considers president Mohammad Morsi's ouster a powerful strike to the Islamist Hamas, officials describe the current circumstances as “perfect” for a military assault, citing Hamas' alleged rise in military powers and arms manufacture as the main reason.

This report will examine the Israeli stance regarding the overthrow of the Egyptian president as well as its plan to carry out a military attack on the Hamas Movement.
